Just came back from dinner with some church people and thought that I should do something while my stomach digests all that food. I also just came back from a retreat and thought that it definitely deserves this update. My summer hasn't been the best; all the things that I had planned out in early June did not happen. But the four days from August 15 - 18 has made me think that this summer wasn't completely pointless. I felt so empty and hollow (spiritually) before I went to the Glory retreat, but now I feel that some of the emptiness has disappeared and has been filled with God. Also, the fellowship I had there was truly amazing. My small group was sooo quiet at first but loosened up as we played Mafia, yea it seems like it's unappropriate but it was a great ice breaker and we all had madd fun. I was really glad that I got to know more of about my church people as well as God, that he has his own ways of loving us and just leading our lives, ways that we'll never be able to understand. I realized that faith and prayer are very significant to a Christian's life and that they are very powerful actions that can bring about miracles (well, mebe not miracles ...).
Anyways, I'm really tired right now and really need some sleep. I was trying to sleep on the way back home but b/c of somebody pulled my pillow out of my head which did not make me very happy (next time, please don't try to wake a sleeping Michelle cuz she'll get reeli grumpy <= which happens when I'm really tired ). Also, the punishment we received for not sleeping in time yesterday (Wednesday night) made me a little worn out as well; I honestly don't blame her, we deserved it. All I can say that the four days were so wonderful and I can't wait till next year. I was also glad that I saw my "killer jaws" at the retreat (Ruth don't say anything about his name or else I will Kill You...just keed). I'm really gonna miss all the people I met but I'm definitely not gonna miss God anymore cuz he's right beside me now.
O yea, I forgot to mention that the speaker, Pastor Danny Kwon, was the most loudest, funniest person ever. Also his sermons were really great.
